Origin seeks a Technical Sourcing Engineer to own global procurement of mechanical, electrical and embedded components for its autonomous construction robots. You will act as the technical bridge between engineering, contract manufacturers and suppliers to ensure production readiness, quality alignment and cost efficiency.

Must-Have Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical/Electrical/Mechatronics Engineering
• 2–5 years technical sourcing or procurement of mechanical & electrical components
• Hands‑on global sourcing experience beyond India
• Understanding of sheet metal fabrication, CNC machining, EMS, wiring harnesses, embedded electronics
• Ability to read engineering drawings, BOMs and technical specifications
• Working knowledge of import/export processes and supplier commercial terms

What You'll Likely Work On

• Source mechanical components such as sheet metal, CNC‑machined parts and fabricated structures.
• Source electrical and electronic components including motors, drivers, PCBs, connectors, sensors, controllers and batteries.
• Identify, evaluate and negotiate with global suppliers across India, China and other regions.
• Build and maintain an Approved Vendor List with multiple qualified vendors per critical BOM line item.
• Standardize BOMs and align technical specifications with engineering before RFQ release.
• Conduct vendor audits, assess manufacturing capability and validate claims.
• Coordinate with contract manufacturers for EMS, assembly, testing and pilot‑run readiness.
• Align SOPs, quality checks and manufacturing documentation between Origin and suppliers.
• Drive cost optimization and lead‑time reduction through structured RFQs and alternate sourcing.
• Maintain procurement trackers, inventory visibility and supply‑chain risk dashboards.

Good Fit If You Have
