Ovii's Interpretation of the Role

The Software Development Test Engineer II ensures product quality by creating and executing manual and automated tests for Tekion's cloud‑native automotive platform. The role partners with engineers, product managers, and DevOps to validate requirements, track defects, and improve release confidence in a fast‑paced Agile environment.

What You'll Likely Work On

  • Design, develop, and maintain functional, regression, integration, and system test cases and scripts
  • Create automated test scripts for recurring scenarios using Selenium, Playwright, or similar frameworks
  • Analyze requirements, user stories, and specifications to ensure adequate test coverage
  • Identify, document, prioritize, and track software defects, partnering with developers for root‑cause analysis
  • Validate new features, enhancements, bug fixes, and release candidates across web, mobile, APIs, and databases
  • Participate in sprint planning, backlog grooming, daily stand‑ups, retrospectives, and release readiness discussions
  • Collaborate with engineering, product, and DevOps teams to improve test strategies, environments, and release quality
  • Maintain test documentation, test data, and traceability between requirements and test coverage
