Ovii's Interpretation of the Role

The Service Desk Engineer provides first‑ and second‑level IT support for Axi’s trading business, handling user requests, hardware/software issues, and security incidents. The role works within a 24/7 SOC team and ensures infrastructure reliability while meeting SLA expectations.

Must-Have Requirements

  • IT support / service desk experience
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft technologies (Windows, Defender, Intune, Office 365, Azure, Exchange)
  • Hands‑on hardware troubleshooting (laptops, desktops, peripherals, phone systems)
  • Familiarity with service‑desk tools, ticketing systems, and ITIL practices
  • IT support or service desk experience
  • Must have appropriate rights and documentation for employment in Cyprus

What You'll Likely Work On

  • Serve as the primary contact for technical inquiries, delivering 1st and 2nd level support.
  • Maintain office networks, staff laptops, telephone systems, and related infrastructure.
  • Diagnose, resolve, and document IT incidents, requests, and tasks.
  • Install, configure, and update hardware and software, including Windows, macOS, and MS 365 suite.
  • Collaborate with the Technology Operations team for changes, upgrades, and normal operations.
  • Handle security‑related incidents as part of the 24/7 SOC team.
  • Manage software and hardware asset inventories and ensure compliance with standards.
  • Provide timely ticket acknowledgment, set user expectations, and meet SLA targets.
