What You'll Likely Work On

• Define, build, and maintain the automated test framework for Plane’s web and desktop clients
• Create coverage for concurrent editing, offline recovery, and AI‑agent actions where results are ranges
• Allocate test budget to the most customer‑impacting scenarios and decide what to test
• Keep the suite fast and reliable, eliminating flaky tests that engineers ignore
• Validate functionality across Plane Cloud, self‑hosted deployments, multiple browsers and hardware configurations
• Partner daily with engineers and product teams in San Francisco and Hyderabad, reviewing community PR test contributions
• Triage failures, distinguishing real defects from script or environment issues

Good Fit If You Have

• Built a custom automation framework from scratch
• Fluent with Playwright or Cypress and can debug failures from traces
• Successfully reduced flakiness in a large test suite
• Experience running tests in CI (GitHub Actions or comparable) and optimizing run time
• Comfortable testing APIs as well as UI components
