We are seeking an RF System Design Engineer to own the full RF chain—from antenna and front‑end design through digitized sampling and field testing—for defence‑focused radar systems. The role blends hardware prototyping, software‑defined radar development, and rigorous testing in a fast‑paced deep‑tech startup.

Must-Have Requirements
- Hands‑on RF system design in radar/defence electronics

- EM simulation (HFSS, CST, FEKO, AWR)
- Circuit/system simulation (ADS, Microwave Office, SystemVue)
- Lab instrumentation (VNA, spectrum analyzer, signal generators, phase‑noise, power meters)
- Scripting for analysis and automation (MATLAB or Python)
- Hands‑on RF system design
- Complete RF system delivery
- FMCW, phased‑array, software‑defined radar

What You'll Likely Work On
- Own the complete RF architecture, including frequency planning, link budgets, cascade analysis, and spurious emissions
- Design waveforms and receiver chains—chirp synthesis, LO generation, and component‑level linearity and isolation
- Create a software‑defined radar platform with reconfigurable waveforms and clean RF‑digital partitioning
- Develop and bring up T/R modules, front‑ends, and antennas at element and array levels, managing sidelobe control and pattern measurement
- Define and execute multi‑channel amplitude/phase calibration from factory alignment to field deployment
- Iterate through simulation, fabrication, measurement, and correlation to validate hardware performance
- Plan and conduct lab and field test campaigns, including live target‑tracking trials
- Harden designs for thermal, vibration, and EMI/EMC compliance and produce production‑grade documentation
