Airbound seeks a Production Technician to assemble and finish drone components with millimetre‑level precision. The role blends hands‑on composite work, electrical harness building, and strict quality checks in an on‑site manufacturing environment.

Nice-to-Have Signals

• ITI / Diploma in Fitter, Electronics Mechanic, Mechanic (Motor Vehicle), or similar trade
• Past experience in drone, aerospace, EV, robotics, wind energy, marine FRP, or precision instrument manufacturing
• Familiarity with crimping, soldering, harness building, torque tools, adhesive dispensing, sanding (Assembly) or prepreg carbon fibre, vacuum infusion, autoclave work (Composites)
• Exposure to lean manufacturing, 5S, or production line ways of working
• Hands‑on experience through personal projects, vocational training, or internships (for freshers)

What You'll Likely Work On

• Assemble drone sub‑systems and full aircraft following SOPs, including mounting motors, ESCs, sensors, and fasteners
• Build and route electrical harnesses, perform crimping, soldering, and torque‑controlled fastening
• Lay up carbon‑fibre or fibreglass, operate vacuum bagging, and run curing cycles in ovens or autoclaves
• Inspect parts for misalignment, loose fasteners, air pockets, resin defects, and document findings
• Maintain benches, jigs, fixtures, and tools in a clean, ready‑to‑use state for the next shift
• Follow checklists, record build data, and raise issues early to prevent downstream problems
• Suggest small daily improvements to speed, safety, or error reduction
• For high performers, collaborate directly with engineers on prototype builds and fit‑ment fixes
