Airbound seeks a Production Technician to assemble and finish drone components with millimetre‑level precision. The role blends hands‑on composite work, electrical harness building, and strict quality checks in an on‑site manufacturing environment.

What You'll Likely Work On

  • Assemble drone sub‑systems and full aircraft following SOPs, including mounting motors, ESCs, sensors, and fasteners
  • Build and route electrical harnesses, perform crimping, soldering, and torque‑controlled fastening
  • Lay up carbon‑fibre or fibreglass, operate vacuum bagging, and run curing cycles in ovens or autoclaves
  • Inspect parts for misalignment, loose fasteners, air pockets, resin defects, and document findings
  • Maintain benches, jigs, fixtures, and tools in a clean, ready‑to‑use state for the next shift
  • Follow checklists, record build data, and raise issues early to prevent downstream problems
  • Suggest small daily improvements to speed, safety, or error reduction
