Ovii's Interpretation of the Role

The Product Engineer II – Configuration Services builds, configures, and validates enterprise server, storage, and networking hardware for AHEAD's digital‑business platforms. You will own end‑to‑end bench‑level configuration, from hardware receipt through power‑on, firmware updates, OS/hypervisor imaging and documentation, while collaborating across program, sales and manufacturing teams.

What You'll Likely Work On

  • Create and maintain system configuration plans, port maps, IP and VLAN assignments for single servers and small clusters.
  • Execute power‑on, burn‑in, firmware/BIOS/UEFI updates and hardware validation per project standards.
  • Install and configure Linux, Windows and hypervisor images, and develop repeatable golden images and automation scripts.
  • Capture as‑built configurations, inventories and IP plans in the official systems of record.
  • Collaborate with program management, sales, manufacturing and system verification to ensure accurate quoting, documentation and smooth production floor support.
  • Diagnose and resolve hardware, firmware and software compatibility issues with customers and vendors.
  • Research emerging technologies, run benchmark tests and contribute to new‑solution launches.
  • Mentor junior product engineers and share best practices across the team.
