Principal Engineer, AI Research leads the design and delivery of reliable, auditable AI systems for regulated enterprises. You will turn cutting‑edge research into production pipelines, shape ontology and retrieval architectures, and mentor engineers across the organization.

What You'll Likely Work On

• Translate company AI strategy into focused research directions, experiments and evaluation frameworks
• Make high‑judgment decisions on retrieval, knowledge extraction, grounding, and hallucination mitigation for production systems
• Design and evolve domain ontologies that resolve entities across heterogeneous regulated documents
• Build end‑to‑end research‑to‑production pipelines that de‑risk emerging AI techniques and meet latency and determinism constraints
• Solve hard AI reliability problems such as multi‑hop reasoning, cross‑document consistency and output determinism
• Raise the technical bar through architecture reviews, mentor engineers and lead a lean embedded research team
• Partner with AI infrastructure, product, security, and customer‑facing groups to ensure compliance and trust
