Ovii's Interpretation of the Role

Airbound seeks an Operations Technician to perform hands‑on UAV maintenance, conduct pre‑ and post‑flight checks, and manage field inventory across Bangalore and Andhra Pradesh. The role blends mechanical/electrical repair with coordination of flight‑ops teams to keep drone deliveries on schedule.

What You'll Likely Work On

  • Execute scheduled and ad‑hoc maintenance on deployed aircraft, including battery, motor, propeller, sensor, and harness checks.
  • Perform thorough pre‑flight and post‑flight inspections, log findings, and flag issues for deeper repair.
  • Diagnose and fix mechanical, electrical, and avionics problems in the field; escalate when beyond scope.
  • Manage spares, consumables, and tools inventory at deployment sites and trigger restock requests.
  • Collaborate with pilots, dispatchers, and flight‑ops admins to keep missions on schedule and communicate aircraft status.
  • Provide feedback to manufacturing on repeat failures to drive design improvements.
  • Travel between deployment locations in Andhra Pradesh and Karnataka as operational needs dictate.

Good Fit If You Have

  • Has an ITI/Diploma in a relevant trade.
  • Holds a DGCA Remote Pilot Certificate.
  • Familiar with BVLOS or autonomous mission operations.
  • Comfortable reviewing telemetry and ground‑control software logs.
