Ovii's Interpretation of the Role

We need a native‑level US English speaker with a linguistics background to own end‑to‑end language quality for our voice AI. As the Language Lead you will manage annotation guidelines, audit data, evaluate audio output, and serve as the go‑to resource for all English‑specific language work.

Must-Have Requirements

• Native‑level US English (spoken)

What You'll Likely Work On

• Answer annotator questions on guidelines, edge cases, and language‑specific issues
• Cascade new feedback, instructions, and rubric updates to annotators
• Review annotator‑rated audio files for rubric alignment
• Prepare written quality assessments with concrete examples and recommendations
• Evaluate TTS output for pronunciation, prosody, and naturalness
• Update and expand annotation guidelines to cover gaps
• Run calibration meetings and hold office‑hours for real‑time support
• Create onboarding materials for new annotators
• Write QA reports on annotation quality and calibration outcomes
• Audit production audio, flag quality issues, and investigate customer‑reported language problems
