Ovii's Interpretation of the Role
The Forward Deployed Engineer partners with customers to design, prototype, and launch real‑time audio, video, and AI applications on LiveKit. You’ll bridge engineering and product, delivering scalable architectures, debugging production issues, and shaping the platform through direct customer feedback.

What You'll Likely Work On
- Collaborate with customer engineering teams to design and implement real‑time communication solutions on LiveKit
- Create scalable architectures for voice AI, media streaming, and developer platform use cases
- Develop prototype integrations, reference implementations, and sample applications to accelerate customer development
- Guide customers through SDKs, APIs, cloud infrastructure, and deployment strategies for production
- Debug and troubleshoot complex production issues in distributed environments
- Run technical workshops and architecture sessions with developers and internal product teams
- Provide feedback to Product and Engineering to improve developer experience, documentation, and tooling
- Contribute code, examples, or enhancements to LiveKit’s open‑source projects
