What You'll Likely Work On

  • Own the post‑flight analysis pipeline: parse, visualize, and interpret logs using UAV Log viewer and ArduPilot tools.
  • Conduct systematic post‑incident inspections of airframe, propulsion, and avionics, maintaining checklists and airworthiness standards.
  • Define, review, and validate failsafe logic for stability loss, communication loss, sensor degradation, battery faults, and actuator failures.
  • Support integration of new sensors and peripherals through bench characterization, ground testing, and in‑flight data quality evaluation.
  • Produce structured Root Cause Analysis reports that trace failures to physical origins with quantitative evidence.
  • Collaborate with software and systems engineers to translate operational risk into concrete parameter recommendations and behavioural specifications.
