Ovii's Interpretation of the Role

The Environment Artist creates high‑quality 3D environments, props and world‑building assets for real‑time games, supports the full art pipeline, and helps improve team workflows. The role is remote‑first, full‑time, and offers a path toward lead responsibilities while remaining hands‑on.

What You'll Likely Work On

  • Create and polish environment art, props, modular kits and set dressing across varied visual styles
  • Assemble, integrate and optimize assets in Unreal Engine while meeting performance budgets
  • Review internal and external artwork, delivering constructive feedback and clear acceptance criteria
  • Define quality bars, style guides and review standards to keep visual consistency
  • Identify production risks early and propose pipeline improvements
  • Document best practices, workflows and guidelines using Confluence, Miro or Jira
  • Collaborate with art directors, leads, producers, technical artists and engineers across multiple studios
