What You'll Likely Work On

  • Develop and maintain user‑space daemons, services, and runtime components for switch firmware
  • Implement cloud‑agent subsystems, REST handlers, and SSL/TLS communication with NETGEAR Insight
  • Extend the Cisco‑IOS‑style CLI and configuration database engine
  • Build and evolve the web‑based management UI (legacy jQuery and modern Bootstrap)
  • Add and support SNMP MIBs (v1/v2c/v3) for network management integration
  • Write test cases, run firmware validation on physical hardware, and contribute to test automation
  • Collaborate across distributed engineering teams, participate in code reviews and sprint planning
  • Leverage AI coding agents to accelerate development, debugging, and documentation
