Ovii's Interpretation of the Role
The Director, Restructuring leads client‑facing teams to diagnose, stabilize and transform financially distressed businesses. You will design restructuring plans, negotiate with stakeholders and mentor junior consultants across Germany and the broader EU.

What You'll Likely Work On
- Lead client‑facing teams and multiple workstreams to stabilize financial and operational performance
- Perform diagnostic assessments of business position, market issues and liquidity forecasts
- Review and challenge client business plans and financial projections, identifying risks and opportunities
- Create restructuring alternatives, financial models and 13‑week cash‑flow forecasts
- Negotiate restructuring initiatives with corporates, investors, banks, lenders and worker councils
- Build and maintain a network across private equity and corporate stakeholders
- Coach and mentor junior colleagues, supporting their professional growth
- Deliver independent business reviews, distressed M&A support and cross‑border wind‑down projects
Good Fit If You Have
- Fluent in German and English (C1 level)
- Prior experience at a Big Four or leading consultancy restructuring team
- Strong network in private equity or corporate finance
- Willingness to travel across Germany, the EU and internationally
- Additional European language skills (French or Spanish) are a plus
