Ovii's Interpretation of the Role

Aspora seeks a Chief Compliance Officer to own the full compliance mandate for its Lithuanian EMI licence. The leader will shape policy, manage the regulator relationship with the Bank of Lithuania, and advise the CEO and Board on compliance risks across products and markets.

Must-Have Requirements

  • Fluent Lithuanian

  • Significant compliance experience at an EMI, payment institution, bank or regulated fintech
  • Direct ownership of regulator relationships (examinations, supervisory correspondence)

What You'll Likely Work On

  • Own end‑to‑end compliance for the Lithuanian EMI, covering EMD2, PSD2, AML/CTF, sanctions and consumer protection
  • Lead examinations, information requests and all correspondence with the Bank of Lithuania
  • Create, maintain and test internal policies, procedures and controls across governance and conduct of business
  • Conduct risk‑based reviews and thematic checks, remediate gaps and oversee outsourcing compliance
  • Provide board‑level advice on compliance implications of new products, partnerships and market expansions
  • Develop and deliver compliance training, investigate incidents and report breaches to the board

Good Fit If You Have

  • Experience with EU competent authorities, especially the Bank of Lithuania
  • Deep knowledge of Lithuanian electronic‑money law and EBA outsourcing guidelines
  • CAMS or ICA certification is a strong advantage
  • Fluency in Lithuanian and English
