We seek a Mechanical Design Engineer to create and iterate hardware for aerospace programs, from aircraft mechanisms to test rigs. The role demands hands‑on design, rapid prototyping, and ownership of manufacturing documentation.

What You'll Likely Work On
- Design mechanical components, assemblies, fixtures, and test rigs for aerospace programs
- Develop detailed 3D CAD models, 2D drawings, and manufacturing documentation
- Apply DFM/DFA principles across machining, sheet‑metal, composites, welding, and additive processes
- Perform tolerance analysis, interference checks, and fit/function reviews for complex assemblies
- Collaborate with engineers, technicians, machinists, vendors, and manufacturing teams to move designs from CAD to hardware
- Iterate designs rapidly based on prototype builds, testing, and failure investigations
- Own BOMs, drawings, specifications, and engineering documentation for assigned hardware
- Maintain and organize CAD and engineering data within the company’s PDM/PLM system
