The Backend Tech Lead at Accellor designs, builds, and maintains large‑scale distributed backend services while directly managing and mentoring a team of engineers. This hands‑on role balances technical direction, delivery execution, and people development across multiple squads.

Must-Have Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
• 7+ years professional software engineering experience
• Proven experience building and operating production backend systems at scale
• Demonstrated people‑leadership (directly managing engineers)
• Deep expertise in at least one major backend stack (Java/Spring Boot, Go, Python, Node.js, C#/.NET)
• Distributed systems & microservices design and operation
• API design (REST, gRPC, GraphQL)
• Message queues / event streaming (Kafka, RabbitMQ, SQS)
• SQL and relational database expertise
• NoSQL data modeling
• Caching tools (Redis, Memcached)
• Docker and Kubernetes
• Networking fundamentals (HTTP/HTTPS, TLS, DNS, service discovery, load balancing)
• Git/GitOps, code review, testing, CI/CD
• Cloud platform experience (AWS, Azure, or GCP)
• Backend security practices (OAuth2, OIDC, JWT, secrets management)

What You'll Likely Work On

• Define and evolve backend service architecture, API contracts, and data models
