We are looking for a Backend Engineer to design and ship production‑grade infrastructure for Sarvam's sovereign AI platform. You will build APIs, data pipelines, and deployment tooling that run in highly constrained, on‑prem environments.

What You'll Likely Work On

• Design and build backend services for MCP servers, document ingestion pipelines, agentic frameworks, NL‑to‑action APIs, and on‑prem deployment tooling
• Develop clean, well‑tested API layers that expose the AI stack to front‑end and operational systems
• Implement pipelines that ingest PDFs, audio transcripts, image metadata, and geospatial feeds
• Package services for constrained, containerised, auditable deployments that can be operated without developer presence
• Write documentation and tests to enable other engineers and deployment teams to extend and maintain the systems
• Partner with frontend engineers, data scientists and MLOps to deliver end‑to‑end AI atoms
• Assist Strategic Deployment Engineers with debugging, tooling, and field‑level troubleshooting
