Ovii's Interpretation of the Role

As a Staff Product Designer on the Design System team, you will define the vision, strategy, and governance of Hinge Health’s design system, ensuring cohesive experiences across all product surfaces while partnering closely with engineering.

Role Snapshot

  • Experience with Claude Code or other agentic coding tools

What You'll Likely Work On

  • Set the vision, strategy, and roadmap for the company‑wide design system
  • Create and evolve core components, patterns, tokens, and interaction standards
  • Ensure the system works across product UI, agent flows, enterprise templates, and integrated systems
  • Collaborate with platform engineers on architecture, trade‑offs, and code‑level decisions
  • Shape tooling such as Storybook and contribution workflows to make the system easy to use
  • Run office‑hours and design reviews with feature teams, establishing clear contribution and decision frameworks
  • Act as the design system domain owner, documenting principles, patterns, and rationales
  • Identify inconsistencies and fragmentation, driving systematic improvements while balancing speed and craft
