Ovii's Interpretation of the Role
The Electrical Engineer will design and develop next‑generation hardware products, driving board‑level designs from schematic through production. You’ll work with firmware, mechanical and manufacturing teams to deliver medical‑device electronics while ensuring regulatory compliance and manufacturability.

What You'll Likely Work On
- Drive electrical design of embedded systems, selecting components, capturing schematics, and laying out multi‑layer high‑density PCBs.
- Lead hardware development through concept, prototype, detailed design, testing, and ramp‑up to mass production.
- Partner with mechanical, firmware, and other electrical engineers to define system architecture and ensure integration.
- Produce documentation and verification to meet medical‑device regulatory standards and perform robust testing.
- Support manufacturing by optimizing designs for cost, applying DFM practices, and assisting with failure analysis.
- Perform board bring‑up, debugging, and rework of high‑density designs using lab equipment.
Good Fit If You Have
- Experience in regulated industries such as medical devices, aerospace, or automotive.
- Familiarity with EMI/EMC testing and certification processes (FCC, CE, UL).
- Ability to thrive in a small, high‑impact team and influence product direction.
- Proficiency with Python scripting for test automation or C/C++ for firmware tweaks.
- Hands‑on mindset for iterative hardware debugging and improvement.
