Ovii's Interpretation of the Role

The FADEC Engineer will design and implement the full‑authority digital engine control system for LAT Aerospace's gas‑turbine program, handling sensor integration, control algorithms, safety logic, and real‑time firmware.

What You'll Likely Work On

  • Integrate and calibrate engine sensors (temperature, pressure, vibration, speed)
  • Build clean signal chains with filtering, ADC paths, and isolation
  • Implement fuel, ignition, start‑up logic and transient control loops
  • Develop state‑machine behaviour for all engine phases
  • Control fuel pumps, ignition hardware, and solenoid drivers
  • Create safety interlocks, watchdogs, and redundancy mechanisms
  • Write real‑time ECU/FADEC firmware for DSP/ARM (optional FPGA for safety logic)
  • Support HIL/EIL test‑stand setups and coordinate with mechanical/combustion teams
