Ovii's Interpretation of the Role

We need a Mechanical Assembly & Systems Integration Engineer to lead the build, integration, and testing of gas‑turbine propulsion subsystems for hybrid‑electric aircraft. The role blends mechanical design, hands‑on fabrication, and test‑stand development in an on‑site Bangalore team.

Role Snapshot

  • Lead assembly and commissioning of gas turbine engines
  • Integrate fuel, lubrication, cooling and exhaust subsystems
  • Develop build plans, procedures and inspection processes
  • Design and fabricate mounts, brackets and tubing layouts
  • Build and maintain engine test stands and ground rigs
  • Define instrumentation layouts and data acquisition
  • Troubleshoot, analyze failures and refurbish hardware
  • Produce build documentation and test reports

Must-Have Requirements

  • Strong fundamentals in mechanical engineering, rotating machinery, and fluid systems
  • Experience with industry‑standard CAD software
  • Hands‑on experience assembling and integrating complex mechanical systems
  • Experience with fuel, lubrication, cooling and mechanical piping/tubing systems
  • Experience reading and interpreting engineering drawings and CAD models
  • Experience with instrumentation (pressure, temperature, flow, RPM, vibration)
  • Ability to independently build, modify and debug mechanical systems

What You'll Likely Work On

  • Assemble, integrate and commission gas turbine engines and related subsystems
  • Create and execute assembly procedures, build plans and inspection processes
  • Integrate fuel, lubrication, cooling, intake and exhaust systems into test articles
