Airbound seeks an R&D Technician to operate and maintain prototyping equipment, assemble mechanical and electronic prototypes, and keep the lab running smoothly for its drone‑delivery research team.

Must-Have Requirements
- Operate or maintain 3D printers, CNC machines, or similar prototyping equipment
- Strong mechanical aptitude and comfort working with tools
- Ability to follow engineering drawings and instructions
- Willingness to handle repetitive technical tasks with consistency
- Hands‑on operation and maintenance of prototyping equipment
Nice-to-Have Signals
- Soldering experience (through‑hole and basic SMD)
- Experience building fixtures, jigs, or test setups
- Exposure to CNC machining, laser cutters, or shop equipment
- Soldering and fixture/jig construction
- Diploma / ITI in Mechanical Engineering

What You'll Likely Work On
- Operate and maintain 3D printers, CNC machines, and other prototyping tools.
- Perform routine calibration, troubleshooting, and basic repairs on equipment.
- Assemble mechanical components and perform soldering for electronic prototypes.
- Build, modify, and operate SIT jigs for testing cycles.
- Support quick‑turn prototype builds for R&D experiments.
- Maintain lab cleanliness, tool readiness, and documentation of procedures.
- Coordinate task priorities with engineers to keep development on schedule.
Good Fit If You Have
- Experience with laser cutters or other shop equipment.
- Background in building fixtures or test setups.
- Diploma/ITI in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent hands‑on experience.
