The Production Technician builds and inspects drone components with millimetre‑level precision, following SOPs and ensuring quality across assembly or composites tracks.

Must-Have Requirements

- Ability to follow SOPs carefully while also speaking up when something doesn't look right

- Familiarity with crimping, soldering, harness building, torque tools, adhesive dispensing, sanding (Assembly) or prepreg carbon fibre, vacuum infusion, autoclave work (Composites)
- Exposure to lean manufacturing, 5S
- experience in drone, aerospace, EV, robotics, wind energy, marine FRP, precision instrument manufacturing

What You'll Likely Work On
- Perform precision assembly tasks, ensuring correct alignment, tight tolerances and proper fastener torque
- Inspect parts for defects such as misalignment, loose fasteners, air pockets, layer separation or resin issues
- Follow SOPs and checklists, maintain build records and raise issues early
- Keep benches, jigs, fixtures and tools clean and ready for the next shift
- Support prototype builds and collaborate with engineers to resolve fit‑ment issues (for top performers)
- Suggest and implement small daily improvements to speed, safety or error reduction
- Assembly track: build sub‑assemblies, mount motors, route harnesses, crimp, solder and use torque tools
- Composites track: cut, lay up carbon‑fibre/fibreglass, manage resin systems, set up vacuum bagging and run autoclave cycles
Good Fit If You Have
- Hands‑on experience in assembly, fabrication or composites (vocational training acceptable)
- ITI/Diploma in Fitter, Electronics Mechanic, Mechanic (Motor Vehicle) or similar trade
- Experience or interest in drones, aerospace, EV, robotics or precision instrument manufacturing
- Comfort with repetitive, detail‑oriented tasks and asking questions when unsure
