Pravāh seeks a Weather Data Scientist to design and operate high‑resolution numerical weather prediction systems for India, integrating physics‑based models with machine‑learning pipelines and delivering forecasts for renewable‑energy applications.
Role Snapshot

What You'll Likely Work On
- Design, implement and benchmark next‑generation multiscale forecasting systems, emphasizing nowcasting and extreme events
- Run end‑to‑end data‑assimilation cycles with lateral boundary conditions, SSTs, soil states, and spin‑up at ~1 km resolution over Indian sub‑regions
- Develop and maintain rigorous verification frameworks using deterministic (RMSE, bias) and probabilistic (CRPS, BSS) metrics
