The Staff Data Platform Engineer leads the design and scaling of Tilt's Databricks‑based data warehouse. You will build self‑service pipelines, enforce governance, and ensure platform reliability for analytics and data science teams.

What You'll Likely Work On

  • Architect the end‑to‑end Databricks data warehouse, including ingestion, storage, compute, and orchestration
  • Create reusable, self‑service frameworks for batch and streaming data pipelines
  • Define and enforce service‑level objectives, lineage tracking, and observability metrics
  • Design governance and multi‑tenancy controls such as least‑privilege access and cost auditing
  • Automate and harden data infrastructure and CI/CD processes for safe, scalable changes
