Ovii's Interpretation of the Role

The CloudOps Engineer (L3) leads end‑to‑end cloud operations for enterprise AWS environments, driving reliability, automation, security and cost‑optimization. The role serves as the top technical escalation point and mentors junior engineers while collaborating with Cloud Engineering, Security and Presales teams.

What You'll Likely Work On

  • Own operational health, reliability and availability of customer AWS environments, handling high‑severity incidents and escalations.
  • Establish and evolve SRE practices, define SLAs/SLOs/SLIs, and conduct failure analysis to eliminate recurring issues.
  • Design and implement automation frameworks and IaC using Terraform, CloudFormation, CDK, Python/Bash/PowerShell, Lambda and Systems Manager.
  • Build and optimize monitoring, alerting and dashboards with CloudWatch, Grafana, Prometheus, OpenSearch and Tevico.
  • Lead cloud security and compliance initiatives, managing Security Hub, GuardDuty, IAM, Config, CloudTrail and supporting ISO 27001, SOC 2, HIPAA, PCI DSS.
  • Drive FinOps initiatives, analyze cost & usage reports, Savings Plans and Reserved Instances, and deliver optimization recommendations.
  • Design backup, disaster recovery and business continuity solutions meeting RTO/RPO goals.
  • Provide technical advisory to customers, participate in governance meetings and collaborate with Presales and Cloud Engineering.
